December Book Recommendations

This past month has been absolutely INSANE for me, so reading unfortunately has not been my top priority. Now that the election is over and things are marginally slowing down, I’m hoping December will allow for some more moments of solace to flip through some pages. The following books are books I’m hoping to have finished by January…we’ll see how it goes!

A Promised Land by President Barack Obama

I’ve literally binge watched every Obama interview for this book tour —the Obama content is off the charts this month. I CANNOT wait to read this and I hope some of you do too so we can talk about it and remember when we had a president who could complete real English sentences.

Untamed by Glennon Doyle

One of my favorite people ever born, Florence Kane, recommended this to me. Florence is one of the most intelligent, eloquent, thoughtful, and grounded people I’ve ever known, so whenever she recommends something to me I immediately jump on it. I cannot wait to finally read this. Hopefully it helps me be a little bit more like Florence.

Anxious People by Frederik Backman

One of the cutest and most talented people I know, Gen Cullen, recommended a Frederik Backman book to me while we were talking during a Latin lesson and I’ve never looked back. He is such an amazing writer and I fall in love with every single book he writes. Very excited to dive into this one. Thanks for the rec Gen! Such a queen.

PLEASE let me know on Instagram if you read any of these! It made me so happy this month when people DM’ed me about reading some of last month’s recommendations. I can’t tell you how much it means to me. In any sense, I hope you read a bit and take some time for yourself this month because you more than deserve it.
